If you are undecided on whether to take a test or not, sometimes it is worthwhile to have a test done even when the results come back negative, as this rules out potential problems and narrows the field as to what may help. You should see this as a good result and can move onto other potential causes. Some people avoid particular foods in the belief that they are allergic/intolerant to it, although it may be found that this is not the case and there may be another reason for bloating for example. To get to the cause of your problem and to diminish time wasted on unnecessarily avoiding certain foods, taking a test may give you a solution.
